How does an automatic bid work?

In addition to being able to bid live during a Live sale by placing a firm bid, you have the option to place automatic bids before the sale begins.

➡️The principle is as follows: you indicate the maximum amount at which you wish to acquire the desired lot, and our system will bid for you, little by little, following the bid increment, without exceeding this maximum amount.

This system allows you to try to obtain a lot at the lowest price, as it will only outbid if other users, live or in the room, bid against you.

You also have the assurance of not exceeding your maximum budget (excluding fees) because the system will never exceed the maximum amount you have chosen.

For Live sales, you have the option to modify or delete your automatic bid before the lot is put up for sale.

🤫 The Auctioneer does not know the maximum amount of your automatic bid. The system's bids appear on their screen as classic Live bids, indistinguishable from other non-automatic bids placed on Interencheres.

⚠️ Please note, other users may have placed an automatic bid before you. In the event of a tie in maximum amount, the system will give priority to the bid placed first.

The Auctioneer also retains the ability to give priority in the room, again in the event of a tie in amount.

Finally, if your automatic bid is lower than the starting price (announced only during the sale of the lot, live), no bid can be placed by the system.

⏱️ Note: For Chrono sales, which start as soon as they are published, you can also delete your automatic bid, but any bid placed before this deletion will remain valid as long as it has not been outbid by another Interencheres user. This deletion will therefore only concern the maximum amount above your current bid. You will remain the successful bidder of the lot if no one outbids you.
