In order to ensure optimal payment security for our partner Auction Houses, you may be asked to register a deposit when you want to place a bid.
On the app:
The amount of this deposit (bank imprint) may be valid for the entire sale or only linked to certain lots whose estimate exceeds a certain amount.
If you have already registered a deposit to bid on a lot, you may be asked to upgrade your deposit to bid on another lot with a higher estimate.
Thus, if you have registered a first deposit of €500, and you want to bid on a lot subject to a second guarantee tier of €1,000, you will be asked for a second deposit of €500, completing the first. No other deposit will be requested for this sale.
Example situation:
💡 Registering a deposit is also possible during the sale. You can choose to register the highest deposit when you sign up to be certain you can bid without delay on all lots, regardless of their estimate, without having to register a second deposit.
🔒 You will see a small padlock icon on the descriptions and photographs of lots requiring a deposit registration if you have not registered the necessary guarantee to bid on that lot.
The estimates, deposit amounts and tiers are determined by the Auction House. There can be a maximum of two deposit tiers for the same sale.
⚠️ In case of winning a bid, you may be debited an amount equal to or less than the total deposits made. Otherwise, the release of the imprints will be initiated at the end of the sale, without any action on our part.
You can check the status of deposits registered when signing up for a sale from your personal area.
