Voluntary and judicial sales: what are the differences?

  •  Voluntary sales offer goods freely entrusted for sale by their owners. These sales are organised by voluntary sales operators under the supervision of the Conseil des Maisons de vente (CMV).
  • Judicial sales, mandated by law or court order, offer goods for sale following a seizure or compulsory liquidation. They are run by judicial auctioneers.
